With all the options in kitchen design, it can be difficult to decide what is right for your home and your lifestyle. Many people love the idea of kitchen cabinets with glass-front doors. This can be a great design detail, but not necessarily right for every family’s lifestyle. Think about what the contents of your cabinets look like, you may not want it on display each time you walk into your new kitchen. However, you can still include this distinctive element as an accent door.
This kitchen that we recently completed, just one of the upper cabinets features glass front doors. To make this even more of a design detail, we added glass shelves and interior lighting. The homeowners chose to store a few decorative pieces as well as frequently used plates and bowls in this cabinet. It looks well organized and really enhances the room!
This beautiful kitchen features the “Savannah” style doors in Maple with a Sable Charcoal finish. The dark wood is complimented with stainless steel appliances, a ceramic and glass tile backsplash and granite counters with under-mount sinks (notice the handy prep sink in the island!). You can see in the photos that the glass-front cabinet doors also compliment the nearby windows in the kitchen and adjacent dining area.
