Last week, we showed off a recent Pittsburgh kitchen renovation. The warm tones throughout are welcoming and gather you into the room, but it’s the unexpected details that truly make this kitchen a charming, entertaining space.
Natural light is the star of this kitchen and sets the tone for the rest of the design; warm and inviting is the name of the game.
The wet bar is packed with functionality while still blending in perfectly with the design of the room. Wine bottle racks and under-cabinet wine glass storage were added so everything is within easy reach for entertaining. There’s even a countertop draft system! Glass-front cabinets draw attention and mimic windows, pulling the natural light theme into the this area of the kitchen.
Other unexpected details can be found in the prep sink basin. It features hammered copper accented with copper stars, adding personality and a pop of color where you wouldn’t normally find it.
Even the decor carries out the warm, inviting tone. The pendant lights hanging above the eat-in counter and the woven bar stools bring warmth and natural textures to the space.
It’s easy to get carried away and add too many details in your kitchen, which can make your design cluttered. Here, we’ve made sure each detail works with both the home’s natural charm and the other elements in the kitchen to make it an inviting gathering space and entertaining area in this home.
